An industrial company based in England with worldwide reach is poised to launch operations in Schertz.

What you should know

RGE Group, which has focused on plastic injection molding and mold tooling since its inception in 1965, plans to open a 27,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in the Park 35 industrial park this September.

According to a late April press release, the Schertz facility will create 50 high-skilled job positions, and support North American production in order to enhance supply chain operations across the U.S. market.

RGE Group is renowned as one of Europe’s leading suppliers of injection molded plastic parts covering an array of industry sectors. The company also covers plastic regeneration, furniture and seating, and returnable transit packaging.

What they are saying

RGE Group officials said setting shop in Texas marks a significant step in their company’s long-term global expansion strategy.

“RGE Texas will house advanced moulding machinery capable of producing large and technical mouldings for the North American market,” Dan Leach, RGE Group’s managing director, said in a statement. “The Greater San Antonio region provides the skilled workforce, infrastructure, and favourable business conditions necessary to support our North American customers.”

Schertz city and San Antonio-area business leaders said RGE Group is capitalizing on the region’s workforce and a growing area manufacturing sector.

The release stated that RGE Group will recruit locally to fill roles across manufacturing operations, tooling, engineering, and production support. The company provides training programs, apprenticeships, and long-term career pathways, RGE Group representatives said.

“RGE Group’s decision to locate in Schertz underscores why the Greater San Antonio region continues to attract high-quality manufacturing investment,” Sarah Carabias Rush, president and CEO of greater:SATX, said in a statement. “This project brings new jobs, advanced manufacturing capabilities, and international reach to our region, strengthening our competitive position for future growth.”

Schertz City Manager Steven Williams added: “We are proud to welcome RGE Group to the Schertz community as it establishes its new manufacturing presence in Park 35. This investment brings high-quality manufacturing jobs to our region and reinforces Schertz’s growing role as a hub for advanced manufacturing along the I-35 corridor.”

A launch event scheduled for September 2026 will celebrate the opening of the facility with industry partners, community leaders, and employees. The event will include a ceremonial ribbon-cutting and an exciting exhibition of RGE’s history and products.
