Now Open: 2 new North Side book stores, Boerne business park, Cibolo realty firm

The latest business openings in the San Antonio area include 2 independently-owned book shops, a Cibolo real estate practice, a self-storage facility on the West Side, and healthcare providers near Alamo Heights and on the Southwest Side.

Additionally, a New Braunfels-based nonprofit has opened a new office, and a recently completed business park is now leasing space in Boerne.

Book Nerd

The first book shop to operate in Castle Hills in about 20 years had an Oct. 11 grand opening, an event that included a story time and craft activities for children, a coffee popup and a chance to create a bookmark.

Lauren and Sean Richmond own and operate the family- and dog-friendly shop, which offers books covering several different genres, as well as various audiobooks, DVDs, CDs, games and accessories.

Located in the Castle Hills Market retail center, Book Nerd also offers its own merchandise and gift cards, in-store pickups for online book orders, and bulk book orders for organizations and schools.

Book clubs are encouraged to contact Book Nerd to see about holding meetings at the shop. Additionally, Book Nerd will host appearances by local and independent authors, beginning in January 2026.

ProCare Injury Specialists

The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce held an Oct. 28 ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new ProCare Injury Specialists location on the South Side. 

ProCure Injury Specialists offers comprehensive treatment for a range of minor injuries and accidents, as well as pain management, orthopedic, chiropractic, neurology, counseling, and more.

ProCure Injury Specialists has three other San Antonio locations, and a New Braunfels clinic.

ONE7 Business Park

The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce held an Oct. 21 ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new 40,000-square-foot office complex, which contains office spaces ranging in size from 1,500 square feet to 9,775 square feet. 

According to the developers, the spaces are available for pre-leasing and should prove attractive to a range of professionals, including medical, law and finance.

Affordable Dentures and Implants

Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce held an Oct. 16 ribbon-cutting ceremony for Affordable Dentures and Implants’ new Alamo Heights-area clinic, which offers a range of services, including dental implants, dentures, tooth extractions, and general dentistry.

Just Focus Real Estate

A grand opening celebration took place Oct. 18 for Just Focus, which has listings for a range of residential properties in cities such as San Antonio, Cibolo, La Vernia, Schertz, Converse, New Braunfels and Boerne.

Operated by owner/broker Ron Henry, Just Focus also assists clients with various resources for homebuyers and sellers.

Connections Individual and Family Services

The New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce held an Oct. 9 ribbon-cutting ceremony for Connections’ new office in New Braunfels. The nonprofit began in 1981 as an organization designed to support at-risk youth in Comal County. It has since expanded to serve 16 counties, providing counseling, prevention programming, an emergency children’s shelter, and a youth transitional living program.

First Storage

Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce held an Oct. 2 ribbon-cutting ceremony for First Storage’s second San Antonio location, this one situated on the West Side.

The self-storage chain offers climate-controlled storage with modern design, hands-free gate access via the company’s mobile app, and keyless entry with Pro-Edge security.

The company is offering two months of free storage on select units at the new location.

Pages for Ages

Helotes Chamber of Commerce held a Sept. 12 ribbon-cutting ceremony for Pages for Ages, a book shop that is located in the Town and Country shopping center at the corner of Bandera and Old Prue roads. 

Pages for Ages offers an array of books of different genres, a children’s corner with books and learning resources, a cafe featuring various fresh-baked pastries and teas, 3D-printed anime and cartoon figures, a curated selection of banned books, and a section centered around local/regional authors. Additionally, the store has a range of gift items, including those inspired by divination and mysticism.

Pages for Ages also hosts a free children’s sensory story hour each Saturday with low lights and calm setting, a Tarot reading room that is open on weekends, art activities and book club meetings.
