Officials with Methodist Healthcare and Methodist Hospital | Westover Hills gathered with local civic leaders April 9 to celebrate the opening of Methodist Physicians | Westover Hills OBGYN at 5126 W. Loop 1604 N., Suite 328.
What you should know
Located in the medical office building next to the hospital, the clinic is Methodist Healthcare’s second dedicated obstetrics and gynecological practice, and the first such practice on the Far West Side.
According to a news release, the clinic is designed to care for women from first annual exams through pregnancy, menopause, and beyond.
Methodist Physicians | Westover Hills OBGYN has other comprehensive services such as preventive care, prenatal and postpartum care, pregnancy management, gynecologic care, and advanced diagnostic and surgical services, the release stated.

Speakers at the April 9 ribbon-cutting and grand opening event said the new OB/GYN practice represents a boost in Methodist Healthcare’s investment in the San Antonio area, especially the fast-growing Far West Side.
“This clinic represents a meaningful step forward for women’s health in our community,” Megan Cool Amalakuhan, Methodist Hospital | Westover Hills’ CEO, said in a statement.
“As this area continues to grow, so do the needs of the community we serve. Our goal is to be a trusted resource for women and families by delivering high‑quality, compassionate care right here where they live.”
