Take a quick look at some newly opened businesses in the San Antonio area, including a South Side barber shop, and medical clinics in Schertz and on the West Side.

*DeLeon Barber Studio hosted a Sept. 28 grand opening event on the South Side, featuring tattoos, music and complimentary refreshments. Haircuts run $30 for adults and $25 for children. Walk-ins are welcome.

*Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 26 for Health 210 Primary Care Clinic, which recently opened a new far West Side location. Health 210 provides adults ages 18 and older with internal medicine and urgent care services, as well as geriatric and preventative care, allergy and immunology, management of chronic disease or weight loss, men and women’s health, mental health support, and telemedicine.

*The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce held a Sept. 25 ribbon-cutting ceremony for Mainz Meat Market, which offers a range of meats, pork, chicken and other items.

*A new Crunch Fitness gym officially opened Sept. 24 in Windcrest. The $5 million, 40,000-square-foot gym offers an array of cardio and strength training equipment, half-hour circuit training, a functional HITTZone (High Intensity Interval) training area with indoor turf, fast-paced, interactive spin classes, a dedicated group fitness studio, hot yoga, red light therapy, personal training and more. Monthly memberships start at $29.99. The franchisee, Shawn Friedman, offered community members a free preview of the new Crunch Fitness with a Sept. 23 event, which included an appearance by former Texas Longhorns star Vince Young.

*Royal Tile, a family owned and operated tile store, opened a new location late this summer in Leon Valley. Royal Tile offers a variety of tiling, including ceramic, porcelain, saltillo, travertine, hardwood, laminate and glass block, as well as tools and setting materials.

*A ribbon-cutting and grand opening celebration was held Sept. 23 for Legacy at Veramendi apartment community in New Braunfels. The new apartment complex holds 324 units, including studios and one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, and amenities such as a resort-style pool, outdoor kitchen, dog wash station, and a 24-hour fitness center. Legacy at Veramendi is part of the larger Veramendi master-planned community.

*Metropolitan San Antonio Chamber of Commerce hosted a Sept. 19 ribbon-cutting for Costa Oil – 10-Minute Oil Change on the Northeast Side. In addition to stay-inside-your-car oil changes, Costa Oil offers complimentary fluid top-offs and air in the tires.

*The Chamber Schertz Cibolo Selma Area held a Sept. 3 ribbon-cutting event on Sept. 4 for a new My Urgent Care clinic in Schertz. My Urgent Care offers a number of services, including treatment of flu and allergies, minor procedures, diagnostic lab testing, employment physicals and drug testing, and workplace injury care.
